Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Dommes ("we," "us") collects when you use dommes.us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Email address, password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider), display name, handle, and optional profile details you choose to add such as an avatar, banner, bio, status, location text, and links.

Content. Posts, stories, wishlist items, messages, comments, likes, and other material you create on the Platform. Note that posts and stories are public.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive transaction records (amount, date, the parties involved, and limited payment metadata) needed to operate features like receipts, leaderboards, and creator payouts. Creators completing payout onboarding provide identity and banking information directly to Stripe, not to us.

Usage and device data. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps) collected by our hosting and security providers, and error reports if something breaks while you use the site.

Local storage. We use browser storage for preferences like theme, muted conversations, and notification filters. These stay on your device.

2. How we use information

To provide and improve the Platform; to process payments and payouts; to display public features you participate in (profiles, posts, leaderboards, shoutouts); to send transactional email such as confirmations and receipts; to keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms; and to comply with legal obligations.

3. What's public

Your profile, posts, stories (while live), wishlist, verified status, and appearances on leaderboards or gift shoutouts are visible to anyone. Direct messages are private between participants. Tips can be sent anonymously to hide your name from public displays; transaction records still exist for payment processing.

4. Service providers

We share information only with providers that run the Platform: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments and payouts), Resend (transactional email), and Cloudflare (DNS and security). Each processes data only to provide their service. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal disclosures

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or Dommes.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain account data while your account is active. Stories are automatically deleted after they expire. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@dommes.us; we will action requests within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (such as transaction history).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

8. Age

Dommes is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete the account.

9. Guests, notifications, and analytics

Guest payments: if you pay without an account, Stripe processes your payment details; we store the transaction, the display name you optionally enter (which may be shown publicly), and, for guest subscriptions, the email Stripe collects for receipts and self-service cancellation. Push notifications are optional; if you enable them we store a device subscription token to deliver notifications, and you can disable them anytime in your device or browser settings, which invalidates the token. Creators' bio and profile pages record simple visit-source counts (for example “came from the bio link”) to show creators their own traffic; this is not sold or shared. If a creator uses the import tool, we fetch the public page they specify once, at their request, and store the resulting links and image on their profile.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. Contact us at support@dommes.usand we will honor applicable requests.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
